How to create and install your browser pet

Updated: November 3, 2026

Turn a pet photo into a little company for browsing, writing and taking a break.

Choose a pet photo you may use and a name, then pay. Generation starts only after server confirmation. Preview and collect the finished pet here.

1. Choose a clear pet photo

Use a front-facing or full-body photo with one clearly visible pet. Good light and an unobstructed face help show its markings. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP file up to 8 MB, and only use a photo you own or have permission to use.

Give your pet a name. Check pricing and current availability before starting a new creation.

2. Let the pet finish generating

Your photo is used to create watching poses and continuous running, sleeping and input-box peeking animations. Frames are converted to transparent PNG assets for the extension. The finished preview shows the poses and movement included with your pet.

AI creates new poses from the photo and may invent details it cannot see. Appearance, motion and looping can vary. Review the actual preview before bringing the pet into your browser.

3. Install the Chrome extension

On desktop Chrome, download and unzip the extension, load the extracted folder in Developer mode, then return to bring your pet home. It is not yet listed in the Chrome Web Store.

  1. Download and unzip. Download the PawPlusMe Chrome extension and keep the extracted folder.
  2. Load the folder in Chrome. Type chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar. Turn on Developer mode, choose “Load unpacked”, and select the extracted extension folder.
  3. Return to your pet. Open PawPlusMe in the same Chrome profile, refresh if needed, and use the pickup action to bring your finished pet into the extension.

4. Browse, type and take a break

Your pet can watch your cursor, follow it, nap, or peek over an input box while you type. Input interaction uses events and the box’s position without reading the text you enter.

Start a 25-minute timer when you want to focus. Your pet steps away, then comes back to make mischief. Hold and release it to choose another visit in 25 or 50 minutes, or no more visits today.

The extension works on supported ordinary webpages in desktop Chrome. Chrome’s internal pages, the Chrome Web Store and some protected pages or embedded inputs may not allow it.
